1. BACKGROUND 

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (“GAIN”), the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (“MUFPP”) and HIVOS Foundation (on behalf of RUAF) (together the “Partners”) have worked to launch this site with the objective of creating an environment in which to share best practices between cities, urban communities and other stakeholders, and promote greater discussion around the issues related to urban food systems and nutrition challenges and opportunities  (“Lawful Purposes of Use”).The Partners operate under the name “Food Action Cities”, however  no joint venture is created between the Partners.  

GAIN has agreed to manage the site on behalf of the Partners.
